Valentino Rockstud Ballet Flat

Searching, searching...and found! I've been diligently looking for a spring time shoe splurge (say that 4 times fast!) and I think it has been found. I thought it was going to be a wedge, but in my opinion, wedges are boring me this season- nothing screams excitement. I of course, have always admired Valentino studded anything, but for a shoe it has to be practical for me, meaning I need to be able to run around in them, not tip toe in a 5 inch stilletoe. I'm pretty sure the Rockstud Ballet flat fills the bill. Pointy toe- check. Signature studs- check. Nude color that pairs with everything. check. I can see myself wearing them with skinnies and an oversized Zoe Karssen tee or with a boyfriend jean and fitted blazer. My friend tried to argue they are too trendy to spend $600 on, but I disagree because Valentino studs are an iconic and coveted style. Check.

I noticed you about 8 months ago and I convinced myself I didn't need another black and gold hardware bag, especially without a long crossbody strap. But now, you've somehow edged your way back into my life, complete with that crossbody strap that I've longed for. Now there really aren't any excuses to not have you in my life. I mean you're so sleek, structured, classic yet edgy at the same time. You will work well with some skinnies and chucks and look perfect when paired with a flowy maxi skirt and some booties. You're being deemed as the new "it" girl bag and I can definitely see why.
To be honest, I've been perusing Jerome
Dreyfuss', Marc's and even McCartney's,
but they just don't speak to me the way
you do. I think I just have to give in and
make your part of my collection.

Yours Truly,

The Bag Lady
